The Jose Wejebe Memorial Foundation is pleased to share that renowned angler, guide and television personality Carter ‘Big Boy’ Andrews has been awarded the Jose Wejebe Most Valuable Saltwater Pro Award from Raymarine, a world leader in high-performance marine electronics.

Two MVP awards were added to the long standing Pro Ambassador of the Year recognition from Raymarine. The awards are designed to recognize the top contributing pro from the 12 months leading up to ICAST. Raymarine’s long-time relationship with, and support of, the Jose Wejebe Foundation led to naming the Saltwater Pro Award after late fishing legend, philanthropist and Spanish Fly television show host, Jose Wejebe.

The occasion was even more special as Carter was a dear friend of Jose’s and even appeared as a special guest on Spanish Fly a dozen times.

“It was truly an honor to receive this award from Raymarine and especially meaningful that it was presented by Krissy Wejebe in honor of her father, Jose,” said Carter Andrews.
